A place to sit
All alone
No interruptions
No telephone
To think
And reminisce
Of a lover
Or first kiss
To dream
A possible reverie
To open your eyes

To mediate
Chanting your mantra
Ridding yourself
Of the things that haunt you
To hear only the birds
Calling in the trees
And to enjoy
A simple breeze
To be at peace
Smell a flower
Enjoy nature
Regain life’s power
There is no other place
I could be
