She was demure, delightful and discerning
Had control over her yearnings
She always initiated the first kiss
The beautiful MOONLIGHT MISS
She had lovers that amused
Most of her lovers she confused
Thinking they may have chance
At more than just moonlit romance
She danced at every opportunity
Dancing for all to see
How beautiful she could move
And how she loved to groove
MOONLIGHT MISS continued to live on the edge
She liked to sway as if standing on a ledge
One day he just passed by
The way he sauntered caught her eye
She became enthralled with this man
Finally someone could have the upper hand
Her desire drove her insane
He made his conditions plain
No more than one moonlit night
For an amorous flight
Then he would go on to someone new
And away like a bird he flew
Leaving MOONLIGHT MISS all alone
Sad and on her own
Now she understood what it meant
To be so hell-bent
On having someone that was spirit free
And knowing things could never be
