For all know
Night has fallen
Fires are lit
All gather
And they sit
Telling stories
Of times past
Times that have gone
And didn’t last
Songs are being sung
Children asleep
Warmth and friendship
They always keep
Laughter erupts
People telling jokes
Listening carefully
To the old folks
Respect and love
Are given to each other
Everyone considered
Their friend and their brother
They join their hands
And say a small prayer
That the Creator
Will always be there
To watch them
Hunt and fish in the day
To keep their children safe
As they go on their way
That sustenance be plenty
And food easy to find
They have faith
That the Creator is always kind
And waves His Hand
Making this simple life
Free from heartache
Free from strife

Beautiful sentiments Sally. I love your words that speak of a harmonious world. You sensed what I wanted to created in this peaceful night time scene. I wish our world reflected your wonderful words. I too wish for more peaceful times where children can play and live in the safe warm glow of their family’s love. It would be great if we could go back to a simpler time.
