RAINDROPS

Raindrops hit the windowsill
I hear them at night until
I decide to go to bed
Thoughts going round in my head
Raindrops don’t subside
Feelings are burning inside
Thinking of a lost affair
Wondering if he still cares
Raindrops continue to fall
Should I make that call
Tell him I still love him now
That I will promise and make a vow
Raindrops keep me awake
I know what a big mistake
Our love didn’t last
The spell was in the past
Raindrops drifting off
So are my foolish thoughts
Back to the present day
Life is much better this way

Great story, wonderfully written, Amazing what things you think about on a night waiting to go to sleep, especially with raindrops making a din haha
