It started simply as a shower
You brought me a spring flower
I laughed as you placed it behind my ear
Then you whispered words I wanted to hear
My heart began to beat so rapidly
Your eyes were all I could see
Lips touching mine
A kiss ever so fine
And then THE STORM within my soul
Took over and was in control
I began to shake
My body began to quake
Crashing thunder in my head
Lightening in words I said
I didn’t know what to do
I fell in love with you
Your hands in mine
Our bodies keeping time
That knowing glance
I knew I was taking a chance
Now twenty years have passed
THE STORM still lasts
When I see you come near
With a flower for my hair
THE STORM resurges
Full force are my urges
You alone ignite the flame
I have never been the same
There is THE STORM that you control
Bursting from my soul
