MARIGOLD WALK

I walked through the marigolds
In the morning sun
Felt I was alone in the world
I was the only one

Not leading a solitary life
My dreams fulfilled
I was so lonely
And in my heart there was no thrill

What was I missing
What would I give
To truly be happy
And learn how to live

I sat by the marigolds
In deep thought
Thinking of life
And what I really sought

The answer was simple
How did I not know
He was always in my life
I just had to say hello

A warmth came upon me
I hadn’t felt in awhile
I felt I was reborn
Again I was a child

With the Father to guide
And be always with me
My days no more lonely
Now I could see

MARIGOLD WALK
