TENDER MOMENTS SHARED

She sat alone in her big chair
Wishing that he was there
Tender moments in her thoughts
She was simply overwrought
Losing him was the hardest thing
She knew her heart would never again sing
The times they walked in the park
And made love there after dark
When no one was there to see
How these two lovers were so free
Remembering back to yesteryear
The times they held so dear
The rallies that they joined
On the college campus in early morn
The police came to break up the crowd
But looking at him her head was in the clouds
He defied everyone in his way
And always said what he had to say
Then after they were married
And the child that she carried
They began to conform
To the things in life that seemed norm
They still were rebels at heart
That’s why they loved each other from the start
He was wild and she was too
Without him what would she do?
So she sits in her big chair
Wishing for TENDER MOMENTS SHARED
