WAITING
Donna, Your photo Waiting brought about my poem
Please check out my friend Donna’s (hickerson) other awesome artwork & writings on the RB
I worked today and am really tired
Starting to feel very wired
Waiting for the bus an hour or more
Afraid of my wife when I walk in the door
She’ll accuse me of going to the bar
The bus ride isn’t very far
The little lady never believes an excuse
She’s turning into a recluse
Not going out very much
When I come home she makes a fuss
I’m late almost every night
Of course, there’s usually a fight
She yells and screams and throws out my dinner
I just so sick of this, I’m never a winner
So here I wait nervous as can be
Waiting for the bus, let me see
The bus isn’t coming, think I’ll walk
I’m so tired, I know she’ll balk
I think I’ll start roller skating
I can’t take all this WAITING
