TIME PASSAGE

Donna, TIME PASSAGE said so much to me
Please check out my friend Donna’s (hickerson) other awesome artwork and
writings on the RB

An old town
Years ago
Where did
All that time go
No skyscrapers
Not even one
Little boy
Walking in the sun
Hat on his head
On a mission
Back then
Needed permisson
Times changed
Towns grew
No one thought
Or ever knew
How different
Life would be
People now
Are so free
No more small towns
Or little boys
Who have to build
Their own toys
Stores emerged
Toys are bought
Little boys
Give no thought
To cost
Life was simple indeed
No quest for power
No greed

yes in the ‘old’ days we kids had to make our own toys, we could play with just about anything even a giant box would bring out fantasy.Nowadays kids aren’t even allowed to play with all they can find, it might not be ‘safe’ to play with…. besides so many haven’t got the space nomore to play. I’m glad we live in a small town where kids still have some room to play and use their imagination.

Both you and Donna have done a great job together again.

Wonderful words Sally – now everyone has to have everything – no more make do and mend – just throw it away and buy a new one! Think perhaps somethings were better back then! xxx

So true Sally.I remember the days of not having to lock your door. When you could let your kids go play unsupervised for hours on end. I’ve remarried and have a younger generation of kids and watch them like a hawk. You have to be so careful.
