TOO MUCH FOR ONE WOMAN

Sally Omar

TOO MUCH FOR ONE WOMAN

she works days
her husband works nights
lots of stress
lots of fights
the children are screaming
she burnt dinner
today was not a good day
she doesn’t feel like a winner
being overtired
yet she never complains
just keeps running
like an overworked train
overwhelmed..is not the right word
nor is stressed
she rarely has time for herself
rushing even when she gets dressed
she loves her children
her husband too
but there is way too much
for one woman to do
all the children in bed
she’s all alone
time to reflect naked
on her own

This is all too true. Thank God my kids are grown up and I am already retired. You captured life the way it is for the struggling family.

these drawings are so simple but so evocative. Before I even read descriptions, I can pick up on the mood just with your use of colour and posture.Clever :-)
