oooh boy, does this ever bring back the memories. My mom had parakeets … well, I think they call what we had budgies now, but it was parakeets back then. She had them doing the MOST amazing tricks. God bless old Frosty. What an amazing guy … wow … memories!!!!!

What a beautiful and tender photography of a baby parakeet. When I was a child, I had a parakeet name Professor who lived on a shelf by my bed. I am in love with this baby and can understand your connection to birds. Given the global crisis and pain in the world, it is wonderful to see a new life paired with your eloquent poetry. I stop by your portfolio to see all your refreshing images. I also am impressed with the B&W photography showing another side enhanced by the unusual angles of these fascinating shots.

a fantastic photo and wonderful poem about this precious little bird. I think about how
vulnerable we are despite “growing up.” I had a parakeet name Professor who lived in a cage next to my bed. My next door friend had eleven and did not clip their wings. I felt like it was Alfred Hitchcock’s movie, the Birds. I wanted Professor to fly with her birds. I did not want him to live his life in a cage despite the fact I took him out. I let his
wings grow until he could meet his next door flying friends. I was filled with joy watching him fly freely without a cage. This also reminds me of Jessica
who shares the name of one of my most beloved dogs that I posted on RB titled Jesse and loving Jessie. I think we both are fortunate to love our Jessicas. It is a treat to see your beautiful baby birds.
