Native Symbols--Thunderbird
‘Thunderbird’ is from a petroglyph in Iowa depicting the supernatural being know to many tribes. Some believed him to cause thunderstorms, and for some he was a guardian spirit. Thunderbird is also known as the Sacred Bearer of Happiness.
I am making a sincere effort to present these designs as they originally appeared, with a wee bit of stylizing on my part. This series of tees is intended to honor the ancient ones and the art they left behind for us.
