California Dreaming
One of my favorite trees at Lake Estes and one of my all-time favorite songs….I am not actually California Dreaming, as I do love Colorado and have no desire to be in California, but there are those days when my heart does roam to warmer places….this shot was taken last week on one of those days…. :-)

What a totally gorgeous piece of Nature’s very own art. There is something special about the way the two halves of this tree frame that lovely spruce as well. An amazing and very beautiful shot Jan – who’d want California when you can have this???

thank you, lianne….i suppose it is human nature to want something other than what we have…and it is only at certain moments when the wind is blowing 40 mph and it is so cold that i want to be somewhere else…most of the time i am content and elated to be here…
