Morning Pause

This Bull Elk and his harem were hanging out at Lake Estes a couple of mornings ago….he was bugling like crazy to another Bull across the lake….it is quite an amazing sound when it is echoing off the mountains around the lake in the early morning quiet….I am so blessed to have this beautiful place to walk and experience nature up close and personal.

Mr. Elk took a pause for a few minutes to walk down into the water and take a slow drink….it was 33 degrees that morning, so every breath he exhaled rose like mist above the lake…..so magical….

I realize I have been posting a lot of elk photos lately….I see them daily and am still in awe…...and I just love sharing the beauty…..

Wow! This is really amazing. What a lovely picture! The reflection of the elk is wonderful and the steam he exhales adds feeling to the picture, I can almost hear him snorting. Very well done!!
