I always though I was different
From the other kids.
I have four legs.
They all have two.
I have two arms;
Two of flesh,
Two of metal.
My two arms are outstretched.
My two hands are callused.
My two eyes are open wide.
My two ears hear the truth and the lies.
My one mouth opens and a voice escapes.
My one heart is full of feelings I can’t always explain.
My one mind is ready to confront questions.
My one soul wants to be set free.
My four legs carry me into the future.
Am I so different from the other kids?
