As long as a spark fires,
to light the way,
down mental pathways.
I’ll spend my
days
filling the walls of the cave
with evidence of my being:
Image and emotion
coupled with fact and fiction.
Smooth flow with friction.
Proven truths fueling
contradictions.
Words allow me to freeze
moments in time.
In the field of
hopes and dreams,
where my future grows,
I catch flashes of lightning
as the storm rages
across my horizon.
Am I master of this domain?
I wonder as
I’m drenched by the rain.
