I remember when life was easy, horse life a way of life just her my stunning chestnut russian arab mare, graceful strong and very spiritual she could read the wind for messages, stop eating her food and stare, she would tell you things, we would enjoy so many summer rides out, her mane flying in teh breeze I sitting forward as we broke from trot to canter, I could feel her giving all she can her heart pounding and i swore she was smiling, we have tis unspoken but great bond together, my beautiful faithful friend who asks for nothing and is so loyal, and now in six weeks she will foal, she will give me my first foal, she has foaled before, a few times even, but for me something very special is going to happen, so I watch her changing shape, and I am feeding her more now, so we have a good healthy foal she is resting more now, no tack no rides out together, so we spend time together in other ways, she always greets me with a nostril rippling hello, a bright whinny when she sees me, something goes inside of me, she is truly amazing, her silky copper coloured coat gleams in the sun as she moves and her distended and rounded barrel belly moves from side to side, life in there, am very excited quietly excited I have the chance to get to know a very new someone in a few weeks as each countdown week goes by I will be spending more and more time with her, once i just sat in her stable and she stopped eating to visit me with nuzzling and rubbing her head on my shoulder all endearing communication, and when i got up to go she craned her head over the stable as if to say where are you going why are you going, and I hug her under her rug and stroke her down her blaze and tell her i will see her tomorrow, a very special friendship of unconditional love so I grow and look forward to every day I get with her and one day it wont be just her and me. i look forward with quiet excitement and anticipation.
