December 2007, I was asked by friends, who were expecting their first child out here in Riyadh to capture the pregnancy in my own unique way… A trip out to the desert followed and the rest, as they say, is history.

Nearly 6 months after the arrival of little Kennedy, we were back out at the desert yesterday re-shooting, plus One!

With searing temperatures reaching into the 40s first thing in the morning over here in summer, this was a shoot that lasted all of 15 minutes… I’ve never clicked so furiously at my shutter and bare feet have never gotten so hot!

Your friends sure are lucky to have you for such priceless images – (I remember the pregnant series well) Am already eagerly awaiting the graduation shots followed by the wedding party followed by the 3rd generation! Brilliant work as usual

  • Thanks so much Wellman… it was fantastic to be asked back to follow up on the pregnancy shots, so I’ll keep an opening in my diaries for graduation, wedding, grandchildren…

Ohh I was waiting for these photos Paul!!! And, they are sooo beautiful! I loved the pregnancy ones and having these makes them all the more special. I really hope that they have the ‘before & after’ displayed proudly in their home, Beautiful!!!!

  • Thank you so much Basia… I was so happy to be back shooting this again. Such a brilliant setting, a wonderful model (or should I say models) and yes my friends have been very happy with the results. :-)

beautiful series, love the few blades of grass (?) to the right of the image

  • Thank you again Judith… and yes that is a bit of grass to the right. There isn’t much of it around and I’m not even sure how the small amounts of it survive in summer!

I like this one because not only can you see her face, the fact that she is with child.. but she is already holding a child… really beautiful.. tones are fantastic.. great job.
