Celebration
Thrilled at being asked to take some pictures for my friends who are expecting their fist child, I jumped at the chance and suggested something a little different to the shoot they may have been thinking of having at home…
Shot out in the desert, west of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on an overcast and windy day… work in post processing, sat in my warm house on an even more overcast and windy day… winters here!

Paul this was certainly worth the wait! This is AMAZING! It is such high fashion/editorial all it’s missing is “Pregnancy weekly” printed along the top and it’s a front cover! It’s a rare thing to see such a heavily pregnant woman…. out in the desert….all glammed up waving a scarf above her head! The sense of freedom and happiness and colour AND title are stunning! Just bloody amazing work : ) Great job x

Gobsmacked Paul… I love everything about this, from the concept, to the execution and the final product. This is a unique and very special image that any photographer would love to have in their portfolio. The biggest compliment I feel any artist can give to another is this… I wish I had taken this shot.

Absolutely beautiful Paul – what a cherished moment this if for her (and you no doubt) – it is such a poignant image – she is ready to take on the world – she is so strong and ready to protect her child – pregnancy is bloody hard (some sail through it – i didn’t lol!!!) and she looks glorious – this has to be one of your proudest achievements – fantastic work – i can’t stop singing ‘I am woman hear me roar’ now LOL!!!

Amazing shot Paul. It’s not what I was expecting to see either from your initial description.
The pose is top notch and I love the scale to it as well. Those shapes and textures in the sand top it all off nicely.
