Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire. One of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. Archaeologists believe the standing stones were erected around 2200 BC and the surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3100 BC.

Stonehenge belongs to the following groups:

this is fantastic – you have really created the spriritual feel of the place – the magnitude of it. I love the treatment – the tones are wonderful – the clouds dramatic and love the burning at the bottom – first class work Paul :)

I love the somber dark feling of this accentuated by the lighter clouds. well done Tugman!

What do you know about ‘dolmens”? Irish Bubbler Shay Larkin and I have been exploring this arena of ancient Celtic structures. Shay said what I found in Oregon is a “dolmen!”

This Oregon dolmen has a wonderful view of the winter solstice it appears – I and Oregon State University archaeologists will be there Dec. 20-21 to find out. Do you have any insights on Dolmens’ since you seem to be in an area that may contain Celtic structures?

i’ll email you photo if interested?
