Fragments of Time
Sunrise… always worth it, even with a 3am start!
We’re off to Canada again on Sunday, so with some new equipment and techniques in mind, the Lakes were there as a bit of a training ground… not to knock the stunning beauty at hand in the UK of course!

Hi Paul, how ya going? The early start was worth it, the mood and light here is beautiful, so peaceful. Have a great time in Canada surrounded by more stunning landscape. Heather :)
Paul Tupman replied
Hi Heather! How lovely to see you on here! I’m good thanks and looking forward to my time in Canada again. Thanks for your comment and I will hope to see some new work from you soon… :-)
Denis Molodkin

Paul Tupman replied
Thanks again Dan.

I always enjoy eye trekking through your wide angled world and this one is a beauty. Love your ability to marry the soft so well with the bold. The pink against the black works so well.
I’m off to Bali for a month – so for once I am not totally green with envy to hear of your next travel adventure (and am also packing the new wide angle as I speak!)
Paul Tupman replied
Haha.. thanks wellman. Well it would be a close call if I would swap the Rockies for Bali but I guess Canada wins this time. Enjoy Bali and I will look forward to seeing your wide angled view on island life…
Thanks again and have a great time in Bali.
Graham Dean
Fantastic the way I can view your latest scene from the tips of my boots to a distant spot that would take me a month of sundays to reach Paul. And it’s beautiful all the way.
3am, I’d better stop whinging about 5:30
Paul Tupman replied
Thanks again Graham… :-)
I have been asked what I am taking when others see me pointing my lens down at the floor… here’s to the joy of a wide angle lens and what it can bring!
Rhana Griffin
So good to see you about!!! You have that whole landscape in portrait thang goin on here that I love so much… combine that with the gorgeous colours and glass like feel to the water and this is definitely a winner for me.
Paul Tupman replied
Thanks so much Rhana and it’s always good to pop in, although for once in a while, I am struggling simply because I actually seem to be getting so much photography done! Lots to go through and lots more to come with a trip to Canada just days away! Hope you are well and thanks again… :-)
Paul Woloschuk

Paul Tupman replied

This is just beautiful Paul – 3.a.m start! Even I haven’t managed one of those yet! (Beats my personal best by an hour – I was still going to leave sunrises for another month or so!) But well worth the early start indeed. I just love the blues of the water as they intergrate into the soft subtle reds and pinks and as for rocks and water – well that’s always a pitch perfect combo. A site you don’t get to see in the desert I guess. :)
Paul Tupman replied
Thanks Stuart.. :-)
This was a whole weekend of sunrises and sunsets up in the Lakes… the 1st morning we were up at 4 after an 11pm sunset and things were already getting light… that was when the 3am start came in for the next sunrise. Thank god we were able to go back to bed again after an hour or so shooting!

Paul Tupman replied
Thanks again Trish… I’m loving getting up early to get these shots… just glad to be able to get back in bed afterwards!
