This is so cool Paul. I didn’t think it was real until I read your description. I,m not one for new style architecture – but this is awesome. Stunning lighting and contrasts here.

  • Paul Tupman replied

Thanks so much Julie… I’ve been dying to get back to Birmingham to get some shots of this building. Certainly makes a difference to the tired old 70s building that was here before!

  • Paul Tupman replied

Thanks Luka… really appreciate that. Certainly is a sweet looking future!

Very conceptual, up close and far away, Futurescape has limited imagery, but demands so much attention.

  • Paul Tupman replied

Thanks so much Graham, I always love what you have to say. The curves in this building are so nice and I really wanted to capture it in a unique way.

Love your presentation. :) (You’re such a good writer..)
I can’t help but notice how the curve looks like a backside?!
heheh..you’ve captured a whimsical thing here! I agree with
the rest about the lighting too. :) Really well exposed.

  • Paul Tupman replied

    Thanks as always Birgitta…
I see landscape, you see backside! Haha! What’s on your mind young lady?

Oh yes….! This is fabulous Paul – love the dominance of the sky in the composition, and especially the light reflecting off the building itself. A fave, once again!

  • Paul Tupman replied

Thanks again Dan… I really appreciate that, as I’ve always loved your architectural stuff.

Must have missed this when you first posted it. So you have been back in Brum ans could not resist shooting the Selfridges building. I really like this one the colours are cool and the composition work just great. I have a few more shots of this building to up load soon. I got some cool 120 film shots but my dam scanner wont scan medium format so I am a bit limited.

  • Paul Tupman replied

Thanks so much Ian… yep, I finally got to visit Brum. I’am staying in Nottingham at the moment and couldn’t resist a day trip to get some shots. Just seen your latest shot of the building and loved it. Looking forward to seeing more…
