For the Love of it...
I have got a couple shots to upload from this location, just around the corner from Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada but I just wanted to upload this one first. For me it sums up so much of our road trip through the Canadian Rockies and surrounding area… stunning scenery at every turn, an amazing adventure to always remember and of course always going that bit further to get the shot!

Hi… and thanks Traceyanne! From memory, it kind of looked a bit like this in colour!! I only shot this in B+W, but even some of my colour shots at different locations look B+W!

Ohhhhhhh Paul, great title and image. It certainly would have to be for the love of it; that was a killer thigh work out! Such a beautiful capture. I love the backdrop and perspective in this. Great job xx

Thanks Claire, and yeah that was a work out, trudging through the snow! You cant see how deep it actually was here because the footprints would cave in with snow immediately… thanks for leading the way in this one to let me get the shot! And remember, stay away from the cracks in the snow!

WOW..stunning capture..love the sky. Looks brilliant in B&W. I think every photographer would have a tale about the lengths they have gone to to get a shot…the title is so appropriate.

What a wonderful looking place Paul and to top it all what an even more wonderful shot! The portrait view gives an immense amount of depth and the individual (note no presumptions here – I stand no chance!) really adds to the immense scale of it all.
I can really get a feeling of the cold and expanse of this place – you’ve captured it so well.

This is such a fantastic shot Paul – i love the way the footprints lead you into the image and draws us in to the photographer (i assume Claire :)) – it makes us almost crawl into on our knees and yet the suprise is the fabulous and imposing mountain in the backgound – discreet yet forebaring – fantastic – really love this image.

What an amazingly different climate and scenery you have here compared to your desert home, Paul!! I really love this! (although I doubt I’d be able to deal with all that snow in reality)
