Death is a Lady
Paralyzed with a shivering love affliction;
I walk with Death in a fiery all-consuming addiction;
She takes my breath with white smoky chill;
And fills my chest with a burning gasp so still;
One hand reaches for a loving grasp;
The other claws at my throat with a gasp!
The blood thunders behind my eyes;
And cold urine trickles down my thighs;
Her visage is so lovely it freeze the brain;
With a crushing fear and desire so plain!
A mere mortal like me,
Will never be free,
Of my Lady’s glacial burning embrace!
I can never take,
Any semblance of break,
From my Lady’s caressing and cutting place!
Death is a Lady of singular beauty and charm;
Eyes of frozen seas and the summer farm;
Plush lips like a bed you never will leave;
Charms and beauty eternally to weave.
Death is a Lady that ensnares every man,
Then says there is no love to wax and wan;
An angel, a devil, a lover who thrills,
That beautiful woman who casually kills.
I willingly caress this unmatched face;
Then find I have to share her embrace!
This is the maiden every man sought;
The many armed beauty that snares all thought.
I worship my lover, lady Death alright!
I stand by her every day and all night!
Shower her with love, flower and gold;
Choke in her presence and shivering kiss of cold.
She gives me sweet oblivion and unending black time,
With an eternal dream of our sweet rhyme….

for my dear love, death^
I wrote this on the cuff the other night for a dear friend, then when I re-read it I thought it was good enough for my RB site….
