REMNANTS OF TIME PAST

remnants of life past
bones remain
through the spider-web
of time
the light looms clear
casting shadows
on days gone by
when dinosaurs
roamed the earth
in search of sustenance
and the caveman
walked with club in hand
to feast upon a beast
then, as now, light
shines through the heavens
upon the earth
with each generation
growing in wisdom and skill
there was then as there is now
the passing of time
life beginning and then ending
