Moffett Creek · John B. Yeon State Park · Columbia River Gorge · Warrendale · Oregon · USA
At roughly 75 feet tall, surprisingly photogenic Moffett Falls is the reward for scrambling upstream from a section of the 35-mile-long Gorge Trail #400 where it crosses Moffett Creek. A variably well-worn boot path made bushwhacking a modest endeavor at its worst, but parts of the traverse entail crossing the stream over rocks worn smooth and ‘slickery’ (as I like to say) by the water. After having to hastily bid adieu to a lens cap and spending the majority of the day with a waterlogged boot, I’m thinking there may be space in my summer pack for my trusty Kahtoola ice spikes…

Most excellent comp & shot all around, Tula. Kudos.
Thanks a ton for that, Michael! Hope the waterfalls are running good for you locally.

Beautiful composition and lighting Tula :o)x
Thank you, JJ…the lighting didn’t seem all that spectacular live but translated well with the ND filter and exposure. :)

A very pretty scene, Tula, and I’m thinking worth the loss of a lens cap and a wet boot. :)
