Not my strongest work, I’ll be the first to admit, but a salvageable piece from a frustrating day that started off with some sort of field crew doing work that entailed rappelling down this falls as I was attempting to photograph it. So off I went to the lower falls downstream…to be followed shortly thereafter by said crew gathering at the top of that falls. Okaaaaaaaaay…so I pack up and head back to the upper falls…only to be trumped by a fellow photographer who must’ve managed to stake claim to the vantage point from which I was hoping to shoot just after the workers had left.

Sure, I could’ve waited for him to finish, but by then my spirit had been broken, and my hope of getting an original take on this falls had been dashed against the rocks. I don’t begrudge him his fortunes, obviously; it just felt like one of those days for me, so I packed up my toys and went home to pout. Fortunately, our next day’s trek to Mossy Grotto Falls made up for this day of disappointment…in spades (pics coming down the pike)! :)

Stunning falls, love this vantage point Tula, wonderful foreground rocks with moss :o)x

  • Thanks again, Josie…would’ve gotten my feet a bit wetter if I’d had the spirit for it, but there were enough stepping stones around to keep mostly dry here. :)

This work is well worth the trip Tula…Beautiful image…..

  • Thanks, my friend…at barely a mile round-trip to see two nice falls, it’s definitely a huge bang-for-your-buck trail.

YOUR spirit broken,Tula!!!?? Can’t believe that, but I do understand your feelings about those interlopers! It’s still a nice scene.

  • Thanks kindly, Bette, but I have my moments just like the next guy…maybe even more than my fair share, lol. :)
