Four images manually blended in CS5 (Better seen large) From the same shoot as Pacific Crest Falls II, this angle provides a more accurate sense of the rugged cascade’s height as well as a view of the top tier of PCF, which I usually omit due to the strong backlighting from the midday sun. It thus also represents my first reasonably successful (and perhaps most laborious) attempt at hand-blending a scene involving a brightly lit sky contrasted with deep recesses of shadow. The scramble path up the talus slope to the base of the lower tier skirts the left side of the cascade as seen from here.
