Fueled by stormy February precipitation (half rain, half hail, half snow…), Punchbowl Falls roars with a fury I’d not observed during prior expeditions. Innumerable ephemeral falls—some quite substantial—streaked the canyon walls to either side of us all along the way, with two spindlier examples trickling in here towards the right.

    Superb work my friend.cheers

  • Thank you, mate. It’s easy for me to take this falls for granted, but it really is a beautiful spot.

Amazing capture mate, a really different perspective and beautiful tones!

  • Thank you very much, Shelley. The perspective’s actually not all that unique (if you’re willing to jump the guardrail at the viewpoint…), but the heavy flow was really something that day.

Another fantastic image from the master of waterfalls himself. Your Punchbowl Falls look much more intimidating than my Devil Punchbowl Falls, and literally over the “Top”! Very funny title too.

  • Thanks, man, but they’re apples and oranges. The view from the perch is quite vertigo-inducing, though, I’ll give you that!

Fantastic capture, I can hear it roar! Well done :)

  • Thanks, Robyn! Wished the sound on the video wasn’t so tinny, but you get the idea. :)

    Fabulous image! Great pov!!

  • Thank you, Tracy. I keep telling myself it’s crazy to jump the guardrail and descend the slope…but I always seem to do it everytime I’m up there. I think I need counseling…

    Scary perspective, but nicely done.

  • Yes, John, it’s quite the knee-knocker! Thank you. :)
