Even Whispers Will Be Heard by

Mt. Jefferson from Scout Lake, Jefferson Park, Mt. Jefferson Wilderness, Willamette National Forest, Oregon, USA

  • Canon 5DII · 16-35mm f/2.8L II · CPL
  • 19mm · f/22 · 3.2s · ISO 100
    (Definitely better viewed large)

A reworked version of Mt. Jefferson & Scout Lake · Monochrome, with selenium toning, increased details on the mountain and in the foreground, and hopefully less jarring vignetting in the corners. Whichever version you prefer, thanks for looking, and have a terrific New Year! :)

Wow!!! Very nicely done. Love the tonal range.

  • Thanks, Jennifer! It was nice to revisit this piece after gaining more experience with SEP2…the first time around I ended up having to do a lot of burning and dodging, this time I was able to keep it to a minimum just by tweaking the monochrome settings.

This is really stunning. I love the processing and the intensity of the shot. Very well captured.

  • Thank you, Susan. This one played out much better in B&W than in color.
