Monochrome conversion in Silver Efex Pro 2

Thought I’d give this a go in monochrome to let the contrasting forms take precedence and took a subdued approach to make the dew drops sparkle. The original is below.

Thanks for viewing! And by the way, it looks a little better LARGE! ;)

Wonderful shot! I really like both versions, but prefer the monochrome!

  • Thank you, Mark. I’m leaning toward the monochrome, too.

So good Tula. This is so sharp when viewed large that i almost cut myself. Superb.

  • Great, now I have to add Band-Aids to my list of endebtedness to you. Thank you, John. ;)

Very nice! I like them both, but the black and white is my favorite! Just by looking at it, I can feel the velvet.

  • Thanks for that, Joe! I wasn’t sure the soft textures would translate over with the conversion, so I’m glad to hear you say it. Cheers, my friend!

Lovely work Tula! Wonderful shapes and textures. Love the lighting and tones. And those droplets just finish it off beautifully.

  • Thanks, Jordan! Greatly appreciate your perspective and compliments!

  • Thank you kindly, Joe! Seems the monochrome is decidedly in the lead. :)

They’re both great Tula. The monochrome is the winner.
