I sit and wait
Waiting for what I do not know
All I know is I must sit and wait
Patience is required
Why must I wait?
this I do not know.
The sun slowly begins is ascent to the heavens above
The shadows begin to shorten
A breeze lightly sweeps away the darkness, creatures of the night
descent to the depths below.
They must avoid the light, sun causing burning pain to their tender eyes
I sit and wait
Waiting for what I do not know
all i know is i must sit and wait
I am compelled to remain silent, motionless,,
waiting in an unmoving position
the light rises, illuminating the colors
the shapes
Eyes glow with fear as the light begins
Night creatures freeze momentarily
Halted in their activities…
Suddenly they bolt!
Racing for cover from the rising light
I sit and wait
I sit and wait for the illuminating light
that shines upon my world,
All consuming light, which brightens my world
light that makes me smile, causes a feeling of completeness,
light which brings a sense of joy, places a smile upon my face
Soon that light will be here, a few more moments of darkness
I look up and watch as the sun rises into a lightening sky
I smile, as a trace of warmth touches my skin,
light begins to reflect in my eyes
I begin to come alive,
feeling the warmth soak into my being, moving throughout my limbs
My heart and muscles warm
I feel life coursing through me
Life begins anew as i sit and wait!
