The Macintosh aluminium keyboard has lovely clean lines that are ideal for photography. Taken outside on a cloudy day – but a cloudy summer day in Perth simply means that the cloud acts as a diffuser to give more even light rather than the harsh shadows and edges you can get with the summer sun.
First trial with new camera – Canon (of course!) SX30 IS – with some fabulous features (as well as 14.1 megapixels) I am dying to try out. Zero cm focus for macro work. 35x zoom lens. Digital fish-eye. Super-vivid colour shooting. Now I just have to read the manual (electronic – hard copy only for the basics) and work out how to use features to best effect.
One really great feature – the controls are essentially the same as on my previous SX100, so that’s one less hurdle to get over.
This is definitely not a DSLR camera, but it is really blurring the boundaries in terms of capabilities.
Camera: Canon Powershot SX30 IS with 35X zoom lens, 4.3-150.5.mm.
