Magnificent image showing such great detail Ian, looks like a wonderful building

  • Thanks Clive – it is a truly magnificent experience. The main hall has just a single exhibit in it (a brachiosaur, I think – to be honest, I was more interested in the architecture!)

    i have been to both

  • But any railway buff will tell you that Hogwart’s Castle (the locomotive) is actually a Hall (class of railway locomotive)!

Oh my gosh.. it does look like Hogwart’s wonderful castle…! The architecture and lighting of the doorways, the halls and stairway are just breathtaking! Beautifully captured!

  • Thank you Maxy. The natural lighting is very good, but I was surprised how well the artificial lighting worked as well.

It is a wonderful structure. I used to work a stones throw away and was always in awe.

  • I went here many times when young – but hadn’t been for nearly 50 years until last month.
