So mundane – a broken car wing mirror on the road just outside Freshwater on the Isle of Wight. But a blue sky and sunny day turn the mundane into something brilliant. Seven years bad luck for someone, perhaps, but an opportunity for the walking photographer who looked down as well as up as he passed.

Camera: Canon Powershot SX100 IS with 10X zoom lens, 6.0-60.mm, 1:2.8-4.3.

So mundane but oh so well seen. Isn’t this what makes the art of photography so great, seeing something special in what everyone else would see as so ordinary. It’s a great shot Ian.

  • Thanks Austin – also much easier with digital – sometimes needs more than one shot to get it right – but this was the first and only in this case.
