I live a couple of miles outside a South Wales valley town in the UK, Aberdare, around 25 miles north of the capital city of Cardiff. I am a retired bank manager who is desperately seeking to discover what creativity exists in this shell I have inhabited for so long.

Everyone has art in their soul and it manifests itself in many forms, this site bears testament to that. This is a voyage of discovery for me and one I am sure will be a lifetime’s quest, I am prepared for that pleasureable journey.

I am a late entrant into the wonderful art form that is photography. I have always had a passing interest from my teenage years but I guess I never had the patience to deal with rolls of film, darkrooms, negatives, processing and the seemingly interminable wait to see the results of my efforts.

The digital age has changed everything for me, but in saying that I must apologise to all you purists for lacking the effort and patience to deal with all that film processing involves.

There is much beauty in the area I live as there is throughout the whole of Wales. Quite often I set off with my camera hoping to capture just a small piece of our wonderful land. I hope I have done some justice to that within my work and helped convey that beauty to others throughout this site.

I am also seeking other ways to express my creativity and occasionally I surprise myself with the results. In this respect I have learnt very quickly to take the good with the bad, and hopefully learn from my mistakes.!!

Red Bubble is a wonderful innovation for all artists. It is a place to gaze in wonder at awesome artwork, learn from others and appreciate the many different perspectives in and around the earth. Where else are you able to grow in such a way at the cost only of your time and effort, superb!

Thank you to the organisers and hosts of this terrific website, you have helped an aging, frustrated artist to glean a much wider perspective of life and the many forms of art within.
