I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That is where I first learned the thriil of photography! I was about twelve years old and I got ahold of a few rolls of film. My dad let me use his SLR and I was off to see what I could do! I had no concept of what the buttons and knobs did on that old SLR but it sure was neat! I went walking and found my other childhood passion… airplanes! I was soon at a little airport near my house called the Harvey Young Airport. I snapped a few photos of a Stearman Biplane and then found some geese down by the water. I got some lovely shots of the geese silhouetted against the sunset…up until the geese decided to run me off! Boy was I terrified!! But it was worth the shots!
I actually didn’t get my first SLR until around 2008. I bought a Canon XSI. I have slowly added a few lenses to my kit but have yet to get any gear considered professional. I have often heard that it’s not the camera that produces that perfect shot but the one behind the camera. So I will try to work with what I have for now:)
Now living in San Diego where photo oportunities are everywhere!!!
I am pleased to announce I have been able to do a little upgrading and I now have the Canon EOS 7D!!!
