    Wow wow wow!
This is amazing, i love it and im surprised at the lack of comments on such an awesome piece!
Really this would have to be one of my favorite pieces now on RedBubble,
i love owls, i just love their look and earthy colours an ofcourse their wiseness :o)
and i think this image is perfect!
Can i just ask is it one shot? or has it been through photoshop? haha
Either way its awesome and i love it and im goin to buy it on a card!

  • Gosh, thanks, Amy-lee! To answer your question – this is one shot. The only thing I did was hit the sepia tone button in Picasa 2.The story: I had just gotten my camera ready and thought, humm, where to start, then this fellow flew up and landed in the tree right next to me. I shot for several minutes, eagerly awaiting the launch so I could catch him spread-eagle. I waited, and waited. Finally, my back was hurting to the point of distraction (not really unusual for me) so I had to twist around some. Well, as soon as my lens dropped he was off, little bugger. So, I have several nice profile shots, but no action shots.Still, if it makes you happy then it was worth the effort!

Hahaha Thats sooo funny, its happend to me more then once, waiting for a Kookaburra or an eagal to fly off, and your arms and hands start to hurt, so you put the camera down and off they go, its sooo CHEEKY! haha
I just love it! so it was worth the effort haha its such a cool shot!

  • Thanks, flower. They love you, too! ‘specially if you’re a juicy little mouse (actually, this one likes crawdads – I have a picture to prove it! … somewhere)

We never have any owls out till an hour or 2 after sunset.
    What a treat!

  • Happy to share it with you.
