Hi, I’m Troy. I live in Tallahassee, Florida, USA with my wife of 18 years, River, and my daughter (15), Kayla. We have made a fabulous home in one of the oldest and, in our opinion, best neighborhood this town has to offer and we plan on being here for the long haul. We live with a pseudo-dog, four cats and any number of foster kittens from the animal shelter. River loves to cook and volunteers at the Animal Shelter to get her “real” dog fix. Kayla is amking “A”s in her first year of high school and has a great singing voice. I would play Dungeons and Dragons all day if I could!
I have been a Massage Therapist since ‘93, self-employed and working from home, as well as making house calls. I absolutely love my work, and my clients tell me I have a special gift, but of course they are heavily biased.
But, as middle age comes barreling at me full speed, childhood injuries are making my work more challenging every year, so I’ve decided to reinvigorate my creative spirit with photography. After my first day with my new digital SLR I wondered why I had taken so long to give it a more concerted effort. Turns out I love photography, too! With any luck, and I imagine no small amount of hard work, I might be able to transition to a new career.
I hope to invoke an emotional connection with my subject matter, and that each of my photographs can help the viewers feel more connected with life and the world around them. If pictures paint a thousand words, then I want to snap a song onto your hearts and minds.
