To the eye they seaweed looks black and when dried out by the sun or brownish green when wet. You can imagine my surprise when I photographed this with my infrared camera! Odiorne Point State Park, New Hampshire

interesting image, the rock looks like an egg in a nest I’m suprised by the whiteness of the seaweed.
Thanks Hans! I have a wider shot that looks like spaghetti on the rocks.
Another fantastic shot, wonderful!
great shot.
Thank you both!
Interesting contrasting textures of the seaweed and rock. The seaweed frames the rock beautifully.
Thanks for looking and commenting!

I’ve just had one of my cameras converted to infrared. I used to use infrared (mono) film but trying to use an unmodified digital SLR was too tedious.
Agreed. It is a lot more fun to compose without long exposures and tripods. Thanks for looking!
