Most recently I’ve been feelin’ sick and dirty
More dead than alive
And to keep my rabbit in line
I had to go see the M.D and get certified
Had to hand over my plastic I.D
Give a contact in case of emergency
48 dollars it cost me
Walked ‘cross the lot to the Plaza of the CBD
Outside the elevator I noticed a transparent old lecher
He’d stopped two young girls in front of me and asked for the time
Bald pink head shining above his flash red sunnies
I shot him a look that said your gig is up
And as I strode along, further down I knew he was following me
He asked for a cigarette and I obliged happy to see
He had taken the bait
He asked to give me some advice
And he did so without a response
He asked if I’d been paying attention to Scientific Fiction
Because you see, he believed it was becoming Scientific Reality
I laughed to myself as I walked away
What a bizarre and twisted perception of time
This man finds himself obsessed with
Discussing with everyone he stops
