I was fortunate enough to be born in Tasmania (many years ago).
I have lived & traveled on the Mainland of Australia, worked in Papua New Guinea, but returned to Tasmania to reside.
I find Tasmania is a wonderful place for photographers as it has four seasons a year (sometimes 4 in one day).
I have been interested in photography for just a short time.
One of my sons decided to upgrade from his Konica Minolta DSLR to a new Sony Alpha DSLR.
I put my hand up to buy his ‘old’ gear. This was my opportunity to enter the field of photography, with what I think was good entry level equipment.
I have had hours of pleasure photographing & noticing things of nature that once I would not have even seen.
I joined the Devonport Camera Club around 2 years ago & have learned quite a lot.
It is up to me now to try to improve my techniques to enable myself to get some super images, similar to what I see in RedBubble – there is so much inspiration here.
Finally, I want to thank my niece & her husband, Carol & Kev Haberle, for their continued support & encouragement.
They are both very conscientious photographers in their own right, which is evident by their own presentations in RedBubble.
I have now upgraded to a Sony A350 & am as happy as a ‘pig in mud’ with it.
I just love the Live View feature for macro & low level shots.
I still have the body of the Konica Minolta DSLR, so if anyone is looking for one – send a bubblemail – I might be able to help you out.
