No Longer Alone

The scorching sun burns down as though a fire from heaven….heat waves rising from the ground I walk upon….the air is dry and the land I gaze upon empty. Nowhere I am….just empty inside…. alone and weak….weary from the scorching heat.

....I kneel to rest….praying to my higher power to comfort my spirit…Im lost and all alone where only the demons dwell…seemingly where heaven meets earth….suddenly a revelation from the unaltered recesses of my mind….nowhere to be found….nowhere to go….no savior….no help….alone in the reality of my mind….basking in the burning sun where voices I hear and people I see, but no one hears me….no one see’s me….alone I am invisible….
....and as I kneel in the depths of the burning sand, once more do I gaze upon the heavens….my weak fragile arms cover my face, ready to face it’s lonely reality once more….yet the voices grow stronger…. the people appear closer…and with what little energy remains I let out a soft dry cry and they hear me.

I have gazed upon the heavens of my higher power….he has comforted my spirit, demons have turned to angels….earth has met heaven, I have been found, and I have a place to go.

Reality does not exist here…only my soul….and I will no longer be alone.

No Longer Alone

This is a collaborative writing with Kellie Kcranmer that actually happened by accident. Yep! accident that’s right. I had written a piece called “Invisible” with a rather dismal ending and noticed Kellie had continued the story with her comment. I thought her ending was something we could all much more easily accept, and with her permission I put the two together which I believe creates a more powerful ending.
