Creating The Layers With Adobe

1. Open both pictures you want to layer together.

2. Make sure you select the picture you want to layer into the other.

3. At the top you will see:

File Edit Image Layer Select Filter View Window Help

4. Click Select, and then click All.

5. Now open the picture you want to layer the image into.

6. Now click on edit and then click paste.

7. You should now have the two images together as one.

8. Click on Layer at the top, and go to layer style, you will see blending options.

9. Click on Blending options.

10. There you will see blend mode: and opacity adjustment

Play with these tools to layer the images how you want. It will take some practice, but it’s easy and effective. You can also use the two scroll bars at the bottom to adjust these layers as well. If the image is not in place where you want it you can move it by using your move tool. This method creates an effective professional look used by the pro’s and beginners alike. Most often I use other methods and techniques that are more time consuming and often a little more difficult to master, but this method is quick easy, and fun. Experiment, enjoy the process and see what you can do.

Thanks Patricia, I added the two images I used with a step by step instruction for layering that I sometimes use in adobe cs2 if it helps any one out. I always want to see other artist excel and if I can help in any way…wow that would be a joy to teach…
