The Dovecot in the Walled garden at Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk, UK. The house and garden belong to the National Trust. Both house and dovecot are Listed Buildings.
The Jacobean house on the North Norfolk Coast was originally built by Thomas Windham employing the master-mason Robert Lyminge, who was at the same time rebuilding another nearby property, Blickling Hall.
The Georgian Dovecot is octagonal and probably belongs to the period of the major rebuilidng that took place in the 1750s. Whatever the answer is, it is a stunning example of this type of structure in a magnificent setting – well worth a visit!
