Brin bags and rusty nails

a sprinkle
of death,
a touch of love,
a splatter of forgotten
memories,
under a desolate,
moon,
loneliness touches your core,
as you roll the rock,
from the empty
tomb,
entering into the grace
of god,
shutting your mind
in fear of retribution,
walking away,
then forgetting……………………
…………………………………..

as I lay here
penning
these words,
I realize,
the kingdom of god
very well
may be within us,
if only the misfits
of reality,
weren’t sitting
cross-legged on the corner,
licking their mutton chops,
as the beast of burden,
relentlessly,
searched for a crack in the wall,
im sure
all would be well
with the world,
at least
I thought I was sure,
until I saw them
rising……….………………
………………………………
at times,
when the mind
goes back to its
origins,
and evolution,
creationism and god,
is not even
a dream,
not even a thought,
sitting naked
in a dessert,
surrounded by the
unawareness of evolution,
one would sit and cry,
for you had to know,
cruelty wasn’t far away,
then I get my fix
and go about
my day………………………………
……………………………………………….
Like vultures
They stand on wire legs
Listening for the final breath
As silence sings
Death answers
Leans against his thoughts
Taking the pain away?
And they all
Soon forget………………………………………..
………………………………………………………..
in the desolation of the mind
release the stagnant hands of time
for humanity,
stumbles through life so bllind,
in the end regretting time…………………..
………………………………………………..
I feel the gods
pushing me
pulling me
seducing me,
to where,
I do not know,
but im sure,
the day will come,
when they push, pull
and seduce no more,
of that im sure!

Did someone ever say the kingdom was anywhere else Rocky? I know it has always been within us. It is where our depth comes from. I always enjoy your work because you are always in touch with that. Your an honest writer who doesn’t mind sharing like me. Just appreciate that about you. This is a pondering which asks for more than what you have written. Lovely as usual. xox
