I felt the need to get up early this morning and go to the lake only to find the gates locked and not open till 7am Arrggh.

So I took a drive up towards the mountain and eventually reached a dead end. A small walk into the fields, the sun was stretching across the mountain in a glorious sunrise. Bitterly cold but beautiful hues across the cloudless sky. There won’t be many more mornings like this without any snow on the mountain… it’s a comin’

This was the result of my effort

Fantastic composition and great use of texture and details. I also love the lighting in this photograph!

  • thank you, the light was a bit difficult. with just a few rays hitting the mountain. It was getting a bit late and I had to rush home, get ready for work etc… Typical, as I was driving home all I could see in the rear view mirror were gorgeous pink/purple hues lighting up the sky behind the mount! grrr

Wow….. that fenceline is fabulous – and of course the rock ain’t bad either!! LOL Great composition.

  • lol thanks Wendi, a workmate just this minute told me (as I showed her the image) she said, “you know how the fence gets like that?” ‘no’ i replied, " Normally the fences are covered in lichen, but the cows lick it all off, they love it!" – All class our ’Naki cows! ROFL
