Hope you don’t get bored of seeing Back Beach and the Sugar Loaf Islands. These are the remnants of a Volcanic Chain that starts at Mt Egmont, along the Pouakai Ranges and down to the shore. Just my favourite beach {:oD)

The two people stood on the shore obviously weren’t moving much as this was a 30sec exposure. I think they were taking in the beautiful sunset.

Sunset shot with the B&W 10stop filter, 30sec, f9, ISO160 – 40mm on a Sony a850

islands, taranaki, paritutu, back beach, new plymouth, sugar loaf, sunset, beach, landscape, rock

this shot has the most interesting light and the effects of the 10 stop are awesome

  • Thanks Suellen, really glowing against the red soil on the cliffs isn’t it :o)

Wow, this is stunning! How do you find the Sony a850? I’d love to upgrade my a300!

  • I love it claire and I’m still getting used to it – I haven’t shot too much with it but the images that are coming out of it are in a different league compared to the old 350. No hesitations in recommending it.
