Wonderful Trish the prep is some thing most of never get to wittness

  • Thats very true Davo. He had the most delicate hands too, he really treated the piano like a lover, it was wonderful to watch. I was very lucky too, most piano tuners are very protective of their work and won’t allow anyone near them – he let me get right in there with him, which was fantastic. I love the innards of a piano, its a wondrous sight, especially a Steinway :-)

Tuning is an art form in itself. I love piano strings and have a special memory of tuning a piono when i was a boy…I wasn’t very good at it…but I was allowed to attempt…lol.

Beautiful shot, and you’re right most piano tuners will not let you watch? Why? We use to have ours tuned about every two years when I was a kid, and I Never could figure out why. And I wanted to watch and see how.
