Marvelous image, both technique an wonderful subject. Well done. It appears to be a steam driven farming tractor, before they converted to internal combustion gasoline using engines, . Steam engines were also used in cars, nuclear reactor Electric energy generation, boats, ships, and obviously trains and water pumps to drain mine shafts. Steam to energy rate is if not among the best and efficient forms of transferring power to usable energy. Much higher than gasoline or electric motors.

  • Thanks so much for that info, Glenn :-) I had put the word ‘tractor’ in the tags, hoping it was right, but there are so many farming vehicles I really couldn’t be sure LOL
I had no idea steam energy was used in nuclear reactor stuff! Thanks again, my friend :-) xx

Yes Glenn, It is a Steam Tractor!

  • :-) We passed all sorts of old machines going along the road but we weren’t in the best position to take shots of them all. There were some weird and wonderful things though :-))
